Great Crescent Brewery – A Small Town Microbrewery with a Big History
In the mid-19th century, the Gaff brothers of Aurora launched a beer-making enterprise they dubbed the Crescent Brewery, which over the next 16 years enjoyed a national presence, particularly in the South.

Dearborn County’s hometown Winter Olympian, Nick Goepper, who took the bronze in Men’s Slopestyle Freeskiing at Sochi in February, will be honored with a special parade and celebration this weekend to officially welcome him home. The event is being organized by the City of Lawrenceburg and Perfect North Slopes. Planned for this Saturday (March 8), the parade will begin at 10:30am at the Dearborn County Courthouse in downtown Lawrenceburg. It will then proceed up Walnut Street before ending at the high school, where a short program to recognize Nick will follow. A Dearborn County native who got his start at Perfect North, Nick was cheered on by the entire Tri-State community throughout his Olympic run.
