From mouthwatering food truck rallies and old-fashioned county fairs to spectacular fireworks over our beautiful lakes and rivers, Dearborn County and the surrounding areas are packed with family-friendly festivals.
Mark your calendars, pack your lawn chairs, and get ready for an memorable summer. Here is your guide to the upcoming summer festivals in Southeast Indiana!
When: Saturday, June 27, 2026. Starting at 1:00pm with fireworks beginning at 10:00pm
Where: Gabbard Riverfront Park, Aurora, IN
An early start on Independence Day celebrations at Aurora’s riverfront beginning at 1:00pm. Light Up Aurora has a classic car cruise-in hosted by the River City Classic Car Club, food and craft vendors, a beer garden, and live music through the evening. Fireworks over the Ohio River at 10:00 PM.
Greendale Fourth of July Celebration & Parade
When: Friday, July 4, 2026. Starting at 8:00am with fireworks beginning at dusk.
Where: Greendale, IN
This year’s Fourth is bigger than usual — Greendale is marking America’s 250th birthday with a full day of events that runs from early morning all the way to fireworks. Kick things off with the 5K Run/Walk at Greendale Park at 8:00 AM, then head to Schnebelt Pond for the kids Fishing Derby from 9:00 AM to noon — kids ages 2 to 12 can participate and take home a goodie bag. The afternoon rolls into a Kids Bike Parade at 2:00 PM and a Golf Cart Parade at 3:00 PM, both launching from Oakey Park. By evening, the main stage has live music and the beer garden behind the Greendale Cabin opens from 5:00 to 9:30 PM. Fireworks over Greendale Park close it all out at dusk.
Whiskey City Challenge & Pickin ‘N Sippin
When: All day on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The final bike race concludes at 10:30pm.
Where: Downtown Lawrenceburg, IN
Professional cycling comes to the streets of downtown Lawrenceburg for one day — fast, close to the crowd, and genuinely exciting to watch! Pickin ‘N Sippin pairs the race with live music and great food, making the whole day worth planning around.
Bright Community Festival & Parade
When: Saturday, July 25, 2026. Line up begins at 9:00am and the parade takes off at 11:00am from Bright Christian Church.
Where: Bright, IN
The Bright Community Festival is a staple of the late-summer season and serves as the major annual fundraiser for the Bright Volunteer Fire Department and the North Dearborn Rescue Unit. Organized in conjunction with the North Dearborn Business Association, the weekend features the Bright Community Parade sweeping through the business district, showcasing local businesses, emergency vehicles, and neighborhood pride.

An outdoor music and beer garden event right in the heart of downtown Lawrenceburg! Good food, live music, and a summer evening on the river makes for a solid reason to travel to downtown Lawrenceburg in August.
Dillsboro Summer Concert Series
When: Select Saturdays through summer — first show August 15, 2026, from 7:00 to 10:00pm
Where: The Lawn, Front Street & North Street, Dillsboro, IN 47018
