Effective Date: July 23rd, 2026
Dearborn County Convention, Visitor & Tourism Bureau, d/b/a Dearborn County Visitor Center (“Dearborn County Visitor Center,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to making visitsoutheastindiana.com (the “Site”) accessible and usable to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities.
Our Commitment
We believe everyone should be able to plan a trip to Southeast Indiana, regardless of ability. We are working to ensure the Site is accessible to people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice recognition software, and alternative keyboard or navigation devices.
Standard We’re Working Toward
Our goal is to align the Site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, a widely recognized set of standards for making web content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities. This is an ongoing effort, and we do not yet claim full conformance — we are actively working to identify and address accessibility barriers on the Site as part of our regular website maintenance.
Ongoing Efforts
As part of this commitment, we are working to:
- Provide meaningful alternative text for images
- Ensure sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Structure headings, pages, and navigation in a clear, logical order
- Make interactive elements (menus, forms, buttons) operable by keyboard
- Write clear, descriptive link text rather than generic phrases like “click here”
- Review new content and features for accessibility before and after they are published
Known Limitations
The Site includes content and features provided by third parties, such as our interactive events calendar, business listing maps, and embedded booking or ticketing tools. While we choose these tools carefully, we do not control their code and cannot guarantee that every third-party feature fully meets WCAG 2.1 AA at all times. If you encounter a barrier in one of these third-party tools, please let us know and, where possible, we will work with the provider or offer the information to you in another way.
Some older content on the Site (such as archived PDFs or blog posts) may not yet fully meet current accessibility standards. We are reviewing and updating this content over time.
Requesting Information in an Alternate Format
If you have difficulty accessing any content, feature, or document on the Site, or need information in an alternate format, please contact us using the information below. We will work with you to provide the information or service you need through an accessible method.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Site. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at:
Dearborn County Convention, Visitor & Tourism Bureau, d/b/a Dearborn County Visitor Center 320 Walnut Street, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025 Phone: 812-537-0814 dearborn@visitsoutheastindiana.com
Please include the specific page or feature you were trying to access, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, if possible — this helps us investigate and resolve the issue more quickly.
Continuous Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We will continue to review, test, and improve the Site over time as part of our regular operations, and we will update this statement as our work progresses.
This Accessibility Statement reflects a good-faith, ongoing commitment as of the date above and is not a certification of conformance with any specific standard.
