Dearborn County’s summer festival season officially kicks off this month with the arrival of the Dillsboro Homecoming Festival, an annual street fair bringing food, fun and family entertainment to Southeast Indiana. The festival will be held May 15-18 on the streets of downtown Dillsboro.

Named a “Grand Champion Event” four times by the Indiana Association of County and District Fairs, the popular festival is known for its unusual contests, including its trademark frog-jumping and best-dressed-frog competitions. Attendees will also enjoy carnival rides and games, a midway with food and informational booths, 5K Run/Walk, beer garden, live music, a large Saturday morning parade and more.

Live entertainment will also take center stage, Union 22 scheduled to perform Wednesday night, CMN Trio on Thursday, Resurrection (a Journey tribute) on Friday, and The Renegades opening for headliners Shenandoah on Saturday.

New this year is a large fireworks display. The fireworks show will take place after dark on Friday, May 17.

As always, the Dillsboro Homecoming Festival offers free admission and is a fun event for the entire family. For a complete schedule of festival event, click here.
