Beiersdorfer Orchard

Located on 75 acres in Guilford, Beiersdorfer Orchard is owned and operated by Hilda Beiersdorfer and family. Here you will find rows and rows of fruit trees where the apples are picked and washed before selling. Some are processed into cider and apple butter. The farm market has a variety of items for sale, including homegrown apples, peaches and plums, along with products for canning. Because the Beierdorfers are able to store the apples, the orchard makes cider year-round. Tours for children and adults are also available. For more information call Hilda at 812-487-2695. Busse's Farm

Margaret and Wayne Busse are the owners of Busse's Farm, 7096 State Route 48, Aurora. The farm offers a wide variety of bedding plants for purchase, including 19 different varieties of tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, eggplant and herbs. In the fall, choose from approximately 2,500 pumpkins and 500 gourds, or pick from the farm's vast selection of mums. Crosby Orchard

Family-owned and operated, Crosby's Orchard offers fresh market apples, pears and locally-raised honey available from approximately mid-July until mid-December at their roadside stand at 16923 Scenic Drive in Lawrenceburg. The orchard was started as Frank Crosby's retirement project in 1988. After his passing, the family continues to operate the orchard with son Jeff leading the effort. Brother Steve maintains extensive honey bee apiaries nearby and has locally-raised and harvested honey available at the roadside stand. Over the years a few pears, peaches and Asian pears have been added to the mix. The orchard’s full list of apple and pear varieties is available by calling the orchard directly. Business hours: Mid-July through Mid-December; 10am-6pm. After weather turns too cold (mid-November until mid-April) apples are available by appointment while supplies last. Lobenstein's Farm

Located in the northern part of the county, Lobenstein’s Farm is home to one of Southeastern Indiana’s largest pumpkin festivals. The annual festival is held the first three weekends in October and draws about 30,000 people annually. Visitors are able to pick their own pumpkins from the field, enjoy hayrides, craft booths and a petting zoo. Mt. Tabor Alpaca Farm

An 89-acre farm located in the rolling Southeast Indiana countryside, Mt. Tabor Alpaca Farm is a great destination for groups of all ages! This popular agritourism spot is home to a large herd of alpacas, the gentle animals prized for the super-soft fiber. Somewhat similar to llama in appearance, domesticated alpacas are originally from South America and live in herds. Enjoy a special behind-the-scenes tour of this scenic farm, where you will learn more about these magnificent animals and meet the farm’s other inhabitants, including goats, honeybees and horses. Phillips Berry Patch

The Very Berry Patch can be found at 9429 Yorkridge Road in Guilford, IN. Owners James and Darlene Phillips have a variety of items depending on season, including berries, pumpkins, gourds and mums. Randolphs Farm

Homemade & Farm Raised is our goal. We are working to be as self-sustainable as we can and want you to join in for the adventure. This working farm includes a variety of animals in pastures and pens with green grass and room to roam. Visit the Farm Store (or shop online) for a large selection of items such as farm-raised meat, baked goods, eggs, raw honey, soaps, lotions and lip balms, tinctures, fresh garlic, jams and more. Salatin's Orchard

Donna and Richard Salatin started their orchard in 1984 as a hobby. It has since grown into a full-time business. Located on Chesterville Road in Moores Hill, Salatin's Orchard grows and sells 24 varieties of apples. The Salatins also make their own cider. Apples that have fallen on the ground, however, are never used for cider or sold. Instead, the fallen apples are donated to the Red Wolf Sanctuary in Rising Sun to feed the bears that live there. Business hours at Salatin’s Orchard: Monday-Sunday, 10 am - 7 pm (All times are EDST/Cincinnati time). Berries, pears, winter squash, honey and apple butter also are grown or produced and sold at Salatin’s, depending on season.
