Downtown Lawrenceburg will come alive with music, cycling, and the flavor of Indiana whiskey this Saturday, July 18 during the Pickin’ N Sippin’ Whiskey Festival & Whiskey City Bike Challenge. This free-admission event is sponsored by the City of Lawrenceburg.

Beginning at noon and running until 10pm, visitors can enjoy “pickin” from multiple bluegrass bands along Walnut Street in the city’s downtown district, including fan favorites like The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, The Local Honeys, Mama Said String Band and many more. Spectators also won’t want to miss the thrill of live professional cycling starting at 1pm and running throughout the evening along a course throughout the streets of Downtown Lawrenceburg. Check out competitive high-speed professional men’s and women’s cycling, plus a vendor area featuring makers, merchants and local businesses showcasing a variety of items throughout the day.

Finally, from 4-8pm attendees can enjoy samplings of some of Indiana’s finest whiskeys at Whiskey City’s Liberty Theater. The beautifully restored theater – home to live music, special events and the Stage Left Whiskey Bar – is the perfect venue for this first-annual event due to Lawrenceburg’s deep ties to the distilling industry and historic identity as Indiana’s “Whiskey City.”

We hope you’ll join us for this special event! Then be sure to check out our Enjoy Southeast Indiana website for more info on summer accommodations, dining, festivals, events and more.
