It’s nearly summer, which means it’s a great time to check out the Archaeological Research Institute, a Southeast Indiana nonprofit offering hands-on educational opportunities, archaeology tours, community events and more at their Lawrenceburg headquarters and nearby Guard Archaeological Preserve site and trails. In addition to preserving at-risk archaeological sites, ARI hosts frequent events, including a regular speaker series, archaeological youth camps, artifact ID sessions, and hands-on field experiences for kids and adults alike. Be sure to follow ARI on social media to stay on top of what they have planned throughout this summer and beyond.
